Mavis Fowler Williams

Mavis Fowler-Williams began her travels in IP law as an associate for the patent boutique law firm of Cooper and Dunham. Shortly thereafter, she became a registered patent attorney while working for Johnson & Johnson. Her next stops along the way included starting her own law firm specializing in providing a full array of intellectual property protection for entertainment companies and then becoming a partner in the New York Office of Anderson Kill. As an in-house attorney working for such corporations as Toy “R” Us, Nick at Nite and TV Land and most recently, CBS News, she has handled a variety of trademark and copyright matters. Presently, she counsels private entertainment clients. She is the author of numerous legal books and articles, i.e. on Copyright Law and Patent Law as well as articles on copyright, trademark and entertainment law.
